Thermal Inkjet/Freight Forwarding

Problem:

This client had requirements to upgrade old marking equipment on their tray pack line. The product was loaded into a tray and the bar code and product information were printed on the trays with a large character inkjet printer. In addition to this equipment being close to obsolete, the manufacturer experienced several maintenance related issues. The bar code was often hard to read, and the print was often less than desirable.

Solution:

PIN Distributor, Ship-Pac, replaced the old marking equipment with a thermal inkjet printer system to print on the tray packs.

Key Benefits:

The customer experienced significant cost savings related to the lower cost of the thermal inkjet ink. They have no more downtime for maintenance, and they have eliminated the cost of repairs. There is also no messy ink to clean up since the thermal inkjet ink is water soluble.
